Do you know the faces behind your instruments? We'd like to introduce our online community to some new members of the Fluid Imaging Technologies team.
Gail Durgin is Fluid Imaging Technologies new QA Software Analyst. She will be involved in the software validation and software quality assurance of the FlowCam. Gail comes to us with 20+ years of experience in the Information Technology field of which she has over 12 plus years of experience in the areas of Quality Assurance Management and Test Project Management. Gail had been Project Test Manager on large programs costing more than $10M and successfully handled testing projects with 8+ complex systems spread across Claims, Provider, Pharmacy and Eligibility/Enrollment systems. Gail has an extensive background in both Waterfall and fasted-paced Agile environments. Gail’s successful challenges included creating artifacts for SIT, UAT and End-to-End manual and automated testing efforts while leading projects that range in scope and team size, of 22+ mixed vendor and client leads. All these are spread across Gail’s career with a Fortune 500 health insurance company.
Gail’s passions include refinishing furniture, amateur photography, nature walks and ATVing in the deep woods of Maine. Gail also enjoys gardening, home improvement projects and sewing. Gail has a love of historical novels and hopes to one day write children's books based on stories from her childhood.
Mary Hayes is Fluid Imaging Technologies' new Shipper/Receiver. She has over 20 years of experience as a Shipper and has worked for several Maine companies managing their domestic and international shipments. When she's not packing FlowCams and filling out customs documents, she enjoys camping with her family, expanding her (expert) crochet skills, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Travis Haysley is FIT's 2018 summer intern. Travis, who received a B.S. in Biochemistry from East Carolina University, is a doctoral student in the Biomedical Engineering program at University of Maine Orono. He will be joining our Technical Customer Support team in the lab working with our particle analyzers. When Travis is not learning about instrumentation, he enjoys hiking, kayaking and snowboarding around Maine, reading books about math and physics, and playing with his dog.
