You're hired! Welcome to the Fluid Imaging Technologies team, Sam and Nicole!
Sam Foster - Technical Customer Support Associate
Joining the Technical Customer Support team, Sam will be performing customer training on the FlowCam and will be providing technical support to FlowCam users.
Sam came to us from Old Town Canoe in Old Town, Maine where he was an Engineering Project Assistant. During his time at Old Town Canoe, he assisted in production process cost-savings and the design of product instruction manuals. In his free time, Sam enjoys hiking and working on science-based sculptures.
Nicole Gill - Laboratory Technician
Also joining the Technical Customer Support team, Nicole Gill will serve as Fluid Imaging Technologies' new Laboratory Technician. Nicole will work as a member of our Technical Customer Support team to provide in-house sample analysis services. She is responsible for maintaining a shared laboratory facility. She is also involved in designing and conducting tests alongside the software and production teams to aid in the development of new products.
Nicole has recently returned to Maine after a brief two-year period in Florida. She most recently worked as a Fisheries Biologist with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. This position involved spending 100+ days at sea collecting side scan sonar and stereo-video data to delineate essential fish habitat and evaluate fish stock abundance. It also required countless hours of microscopy to identify hundreds of different juvenile and adult fish species. Nicole is very much looking forward to working for a small Maine-based company and spending as much of her free time hiking, kayaking, and fishing as possible.
